Hello, I'm Ashley. I'm neither interesting or humorous, although I like to pretend that I am both. Before you ask: I'm Korean, I'm 17, I live in CT, but I'll always be a Jersey girl at heart. That's all there is to who I am. Enjoy your day.

Anonymous: GPA is a flawed system, that's a given. The only application it has is college from my point-of-view. Many students don't like how society at our level is measured by standardized test. I think they don't just test your knowledge, but also your work ethic if anything. In high school I constantly hear kids saying things like. "I don't need a piece of paper from society to tell people my accomplishments." What do you think?

I agree. The GPA is based on everyone’s common knowledge and shared learning. But what they teach you in school does not make you intelligent in my opinion. Personally, I think intelligence is a self-taught trait. Schools can’t teach you how to be intelligent. They can only teach you how to be book smart. And is that really an essential trait? You’ve got so many school drop outs that became the most intelligent people in the world. You’re right. The GPA is a ludicrous and flawed system.
